Out and About

The beautiful town of Scarborough benefits from two quite different bays.

The North Bay boasts many attractions including the Castle, the exciting new Sands Development, Peasholm Park, an indoor swimming pool and easy access to the Cleveland Way.  The cricket club, home to the famous Scarborough Cricket festival, the Sea Life Centre and Stephen Joseph Theatre are all within easy walking distance.

The South Bay houses the majority of the town amusements, including the Lifeboat Centre, Harbour and Futurist Theatre as well as the impressive Spa Complex.

Scarborough has a busy town centre with ample shopping facilities including the Brunswick Centre, several nightclubs and an abundance of pubs and places to eat.

The famous Stephen Joseph Theatre hosts regular plays and concerts throughout the season,

The surrounding countryside is superb and unspoilt.  The Heritage coastline and the glorious North Yorkshire Moors National Park; with its miles of forest and moorland.  Here you will find the village of Goathland, famous as the fictional "Heartbeat".

The coastal towns of Whitby, Filey and Bridlington are only a short drive away.

For the golf enthusiast Scarborough boasts two superb golf courses with the picturesque North Cliff Golf Club only a few minutes drive from the Atlanta where visitors are always welcome.
